Went to say goodbye to my nephew after tarawih (extra congregational prayers performed by most Muslims at night in the Islamic month of Ramadan) tonight and found him at a desk reading a book so I started walking toward him. From a distance it seemed like he was reading the Qur’an. As I got closer I noticed the text was in English so I figured he was reading a translation. Once I got to the desk I realized he was re-reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
…[D]o not ask about matters which, if made known to you, might make things difficult for you… (Qur’an, 5:101)
"Do not give, hoping only to receive." (Qur’an, 74:6)
Meaning do not behave kindly to people merely for reward from them or some portion of benefit in this life.(The Sealed Nectar, p. 91)
